I am putting together at the moment a new Computer, The colleague who looks after my IT needs tells me that the grahphis card has a lot to do with the rendering process. I on the other hand think that this is not the case surley the rendering process is about number crunching.
Who's right?.
The graphic card guys will tell you it makes a big difference however I had a $200 ATI card and after going to AU upgraded to a $700 fire eye and couldn't see any speed difference at all. I gave my old card to a client and he had a really old card and he couldn't see any speed difference at all with his system. I think RAM makes more difference than the graphic card.
