Diameter symbol

Some one please fill me in. I am using a tag on my air terminals that i would like to have the diameter symbol show up in. I know auto cad was as easy as typing in %%C i think. Does revit recognize something similar, or is there a chart of symbols that can be entered?

thanks

yes, sort of. TTF supports symbols which is the font type Revit recognizes.
for the font we use "~" is the character used to get the dia. symbol.
symbols for SHX and TTF are font dependent and may vary depending on your
font.

Here is a link to the Arial Narrow Font Map.

You can also go under:

Start - Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Character Map

to find any and all uncommon character symbols.

Revit uses the Windows font map. In order to put a diameter sign on your plan, you will need to type "ALT 0216." You can find a list of ALT functions @ http://www.york.ac.uk/depts/maths/altchrc.htm
