Custom diffuser modeling question

I am trying to model a custom diffuser for a job.  The diffuser is modeled the way I like it, I just want to add supply arrows like the ones present in the default revit diffusers.  Anyone know how to do this? I already added the parameters to the family.

Look at the link below for a tutorial that should answer your question. The tutorial is for a keyplan, but associating the parameter with your arrows is pretty much the same.

Or you could open the out of the box air terminal and review its construction as they have done what you are asking about. They have even created the arrows if you wanted to copy them to your family.
