i try to export a building that contains a curtain wall with gbxml.
Only when doing so it sees the curtain panel as a window fully.
i dont know how to resolve this (playing arround with simple, complex, settings doesnt help).
I inclued some pics to illustrate
This issue has been escalated to Autodesk Product Support.
We are currently working on the issue.
We will update you soon.
thank you for the reply and notify me on the status.
Warmest regards Dino
Currently, only "System Panel" with a transparent material can be analysed as window when exporting to gbxml, otherwise, it will be analysed as a wall.
Thank you for your reply, Does this include that the parametric panel (partial glass partial wall), will not be treated as solid and glass , but or as a glass or as a solid wall (included a pic).
when i convert it as a system panel, it will work? If thats the case, could you direct me to a link or forum how i do this. I searched and tried myself , but did not had the luck to find what i need.

For the curtain panel family loaded in the project, if the panel has a material which transparency is larger than 3%, the whole panel family will be analyzed as window, otherwise, the whole panel family will be treated as solid.
As previously discussed if you create a curtain panel family, and assign different material on different parts of the
geometry, Revit will check the material assigned to each geometry in this family.
If one of the material transparency is larger than 3%, the whole panel family will be analyzed as window, otherwise, the whole panel family will be treated as solid. There is no option to analyze parts of the geometry of the curtain panel family as window, and other geometry part of this curtain panel family as solid, there seems no easy direct way to adjust the size, which will be analyzed as window part.
You could try adding a curtain grid on one panel in the project to divide the panel into several small panels, and set them to different panels, for example, set the segment in the center to a panel type with material (transparency larger than 3%), and set others as a solid panel, then export gbxml. See attached result.
But it will take time if you want to apply this on many panels.
Product Support can log an enhancement request on your behalf with development for this function, that is the ability to analyze different parts of the curtain panel family to windows and solid walls based on the material assigned to each geometry in this family. If you could upload a sample file for us to send to development that would be great.
Thank you for your reply, and a suppost workarround.
I will submit the files and description at the end of this day (Singapore time).
