Call for AU 2008 Papers

Autodesk University would not be the year’s essential learning and networking event without excellent presentations from experts (like you).

When you join the AU 2008 faculty, you not only help bring success to design professionals and their organizations. You also instantly
demonstrate your expertise to several thousand Autodesk customers, partners, and employees. And that’s invaluable for your business success.

To join the outstanding slate of speakers being assembled for AU08, please submit your presentation proposal online at the Call for Papers website.

http://au.autodesk.com/event/speaker_cfp/

The deadline to submit proposals is April 27, 2008. We will confirm receipt of your proposal via email.

What Makes a Great AU Presenter?
Because AU faculty members are without a doubt the single most important element of the overall AU experience, we must ensure they
adhere to the highest possible standards of excellence. Presenters are required to demonstrate:
• Strong presentation skills
• Technical expertise
• Significant, relevant background and experience

What Makes a Great AU Presentation?
People attend AU to learn best practices for overcoming practical design and workflow challenges in the context of today’s trends.

Presentation categories appropriate for AU include (but are not limited to!) the following:
• State-of-the-art tools, tips, and techniques in various disciplines
• Productivity-boosting solutions for day-to-day tasks and issues
• Specific methods to improve concept-to-completion cycles: workflow, collaboration, productivity, and overall efficiency
• Current industry trends—what's hot and what's not
• Considerations and strategies for evaluating, adopting, and maintaining new technologies

If Your Proposal Is Accepted
You will receive an acceptance email. Then, within two weeks, you will need to submit a course outline. In early fall, you’ll also need to submit
a technical paper (handout) for inclusion in the course proceedings.

Interested?
For more information, or to submit your proposals online—remember, submissions deadline is April 27—visit the Call for Papers website.

Thank you for your interest in presenting at Autodesk University 2008. We look forward to reviewing your proposals.
