batch upload shared parameters

I find certain add ins can upload shared parameters in bulk, but they're always family type parameters and never instance parameters.  My problem is that I only want to add a handful of shared parameters as type parameters, but the rest need to be instance parameters.  Is there a way to bulk upload instance parameters?

Thanks in advance for any help. 🙂

In Revit 2015 you have the Revit Extensions. These are available (for subscription users only?) from Autodesk.

This tool is also available for earlier versions of Revit, however I can not remember if the possibility to choose type or instance were available then.

In there, there is a tool ("Shared/Project Parameters") to add shared parameters to all families in a folder. You can choose which shared parameters to add, under which group and if they are type or instance parameters.

Update:  I looked for extensions, but found none.  Any ideas where I might find it?

Thanks again.

I checked, the extensions are available only to the people/companies with Autodesk/Revit subscriptions.

Do you have Revit on Subscription? Then you can download it after login to the subscription website.

Thanks again for your help. After last hearing from you, our VC Manager went into the subscription center to look for it, but we didn't find it. Do you happen to know the name of the extension?

Never realised this function was in there.  Could be a real time saver!
