backward compatibility with 2008

Kyle,

I've been reading a lot of the discussion topics and one I found very interesting is that Revit MEP 2009 is not backward compatible with any Revit 2008, is this true? If the architect and structural are still using 2008 we should still use 2008?

Very important, please advise,
thanks, TaraG

This is true. We typically let the archtiect take the lead in which version of Revit he is using.

Everyone using Revit needs to be on the same version / build. This is something that needs to be discussed and agreed upon when you have multiple companies working on a project over time. It really comes to life when a new build is released. The build maybe important enough to help your performance of the model.
