Hello,
I'm posting under my company's account and I'm not an end user of Autocad Products (Systems Admin here).
I have a user using Revit MEP 2012 (from Building Design Suite Premium 2012) with Update 2 and the .net 4.5 hotfix installed and he is reporting he is still having ribbon/toolbar issues as if the hotfix was never applied.
I have previously uninstalled 2012 Revit MEP and 2012 Revit Architecture which was the only way to uninstall the update and the hotfix. I then reinstalled the two previously mentioned products, Update 2, and then the .net 4.5 hotfix. The user informed me that this fixed the issue for awhile but is now again having ribbon/toolbar issues.
I just checked his workstation and he has .net 4.5.1 installed.
What else can I do to remedy this situation?
The .net hotfix involves replacing the original AdWindows.dll with an updated version.
If replacing this DLL with the hotfix version clears the issue (again), then something on the system may be restoring the original DLL file. To verify this, check the version of the DLL (in the properties), and then when the issue returns check if the version is reverted back.
