I would like to find some opinions and tips from those who find they are having to re-constrain out of box Revit MEP content. Is it just me? Are you ditching the out of box content and creating your own from scratch instead? It seems like many of the parts were not meant to be stretched to fit multiple manufacturer's size charicteristics. Just today I had to re-constrain a generic condensing unit to allow it to meet several manufacturer's size charts. What gives? L W & H on a part is a common variable isnt it?

I am very interested in feedback from others on thier solution to this problem.

I find it interesting that this is still an issue and that there are no standards in the parameters of the out of the box content, making scheduling impossible.
