We really need to link in spread sheets

Beside spreadsheets, we also need to link formatted documents (i.e. specs). The text tool in Revit is too primitive, no automatic numbering for paragraph, no indentation.

Indeed, this would be a great thing. It needs to be better than OLE however, because of OLE's built in size limitations.

At our company we'd use OLE a lot more with Autocad if it could do larger spreadsheets & schedules... so it would be nice to have something without those issues.

Limitations of OLE went away with 2003 Excel and (I think) 2005 CAD. We have linked spreadsheets as large as a 24x36 sheet of paper.

If you were to consider third party software, take a look at
