Dual Monitors

I would like to see more display flexibility on the way you set up the display in Revit. A lot of firms are switching back to dual monitor set ups to improve efficiency. Is Autodesk planning on making that kind of move as well The same with AutoCAD. We need some kind of settings to allow for better dual monitor use.

I know I have posted this on the wish list. But I would like to know what you all think. I am running dual monitors now. Very nice. But Autodesk does not make Revit and AutoCAD with Dual monitor settings. Revit would be extremely to have on dual monitors. It would be nice to have a setting so that you could have all the menus, the option bar, browser tree, ect. on one monitor with tiled views and the working view on the other monitor to maximize the "drawing" area and be able to track the alternate views on the other monitor.

If any of you know a way to do this I would love to hear how. Otherwise, this is just another thing on a huge list that Autodesk should address.

I use dual LCD's currently on AutoCAD MEP 2008 and i also have Revit MEP
2008.

AutoCAD works very well with dual monitors. It remembers where i put the
main window and palettes, etc. Dual monitors with Acad MEP is a great
productivity boost.

Revit on the other hand does not work well with dual monitors. The interface
is extremly light and un-customizable and i think that was done intentional.
I would like revit to remember what monitor i last used it on instead of
always defaulting to the primary montior. And be able to detach the left
menu and toolbars. Perhaps they are wanting to keep the interface simple so
it doesnt turn into a beast as Acad has.

Please add my voice to the cry for better dual monitor support for Revit. I am a relatively new user of Revit, but have found the use of dual monitors to be extremely helpful despite the limitations of MEP 2008 for such use.

I will add to this post also. Better multiple monitor support, similar to AutoCAD, with dockable view windows, and views that can be split in different types, plan, section, elevation, 3D.
