Wine Goblet Model

Im having difficulty cutting a void through a generic model family created. 

 

It wont select the family when the void form is created to cut

 

Can anyone help ?

In my opinion , a good choice , is to create the intended void element,first, as a Solid. Being a Solid you can edit the form as you want and finally turn it to Void and apply Cut..

Can you send the Family file in order to have a closer look on it?
