WINDOWS AND DOORS TAG

Hi, is there a setting where i can get all windows and doors that are being use on the project?

for example, if in the project i have 20 windows in use, is there a place where i can find it?

 thanks.

Normaly this can be done using Door Schedules and Window Schedules....wich have to contain Mark or Type Mark fields....

I would use a schedule based on the Family category as "windows", after the schedule is populated you can count them and also locate them in the model.

Below you will find few snapshots of the workflow.

On the Project browser go to schedules, Rgiht Click, New Schedule/Quantyties, Category, Windows, OK, On Schedule Properties, Select "Mark"(you can select any other field as long you are sure that this parameter belongs to all of the windows, Then, go to sorting/grouping and select grand totals. This proccess will create an schedule that will add all the windows at the bottom of the column.

Good Luck

hi, i have another question about the schedule, how can i get to tell me, let say , put # on the plan, like, door #1, #2,#3 and #4 are type1A.

and door #5, #6 and #7 are type 1B.

is it posible that revit can do it?

You can control it by schedule.

I've made a schedule that contains both Type Mark and Mark ....in Sorting /Grouping check:  Itemize every Instance. Sort it also by Level and Type Mark...

The schedule will look something like in my screenshot..Clicking on an item from schedule , the item from a plan view will be heighlighted and you will know where it is placed...

i want to have the mark # under the type mark # in this case under the # 3

 thanks.

if you want both Type Mark and Mark to appear in the Tag, you can do it in Edit Family > select the text - Edit Label > load both Type Mark and Mark , scale border shape and load it back into Project
