Why cant I see what I am placing?

I am using revit to create a project, and some strange issue started to occur out of the blue, that wasn't happening before. Whenever I try to place a component down, I can't see it. All I can see is the dimensions of where the cursor is. I have tried using different components, too, but that hasn't worked. Do you know what is happening? Thanks!

The most common two scenarios I can think of are:

Check is that your phase is correct and your view is set to show it.

The second is its possible that the workset you are trying to draw on is hidden in the view.

The 3rd option is to check and make sure the View Graphics for the family your placing is turned on too.

Another possibility is that the placement is happening outside the view range. I often find things I'm placing below the floor not showing up, and I have to remember to go set the view depth down to a lower level or to unlimited if I'm on the bottom floor level.
