Which Family Is Most Efficient In Terms of Memory, Rendering & Project Size

Hello

We are importing Point Clouds into Revit. It is used to detect collisions between existing elements and designed (to be constructed elements). The points are imported as spheres of the type Family Instance. Its normal to have more than 1000 of these spheres in the point cloud.

Which type of Family is most lightweight in terms of memory, project size and rendering?

- A Solid Revolve sphere Family

- A Void Revolve sphere Family

- A Model Line sphere Family. Ie; 3 spheres; 1 created in the Ref. Level, 1 created in the Back elevation and 1 created in the Left elevation.

- Maybe you know of a better family or element to use?

A sphere is used so that it can be seen from every angle. Two intersecting ModelLines (that form an 'X') is not visible from all angles.
