Where are the Model Patterns? How to edit bump.jpg files?

Hi!

Where are the Model Patterns? In which folder?

I want to edit them, but I can not find them?

.......

I also want to edit Bump files (rendering image), for example:

Woods and Plastics.Finish Carpentry.Wood.Paneling.1.bump.jpg

How would you do it?

................

Thank you!

Matti Kettunen 🙂

Model Patterns are located in the Revit.pat file at C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit Architecture 2011\Data.

What kind of edits do you want to make to the bump files?

Hi,

This link will get you started on editting the .pat files. You'll also find a video explaining the process.

Hope this helps.

Hi!

And many thanx for your reply and advice, Katie! 🙂

Model patterns found!

The link (Revit Kid) was very good! And the video in it solved my problem. A little bit complex are those *.pat files to edit, but I managed to do what I wanted.

Bump files:

I want to create a rendered wall finish style, where is this kind of elements. See illustration. There is 25 mm bar and 100 mm board. See ill.

..........

Thanx,

Matti Kettunen 🙂

Hi Matti,

So are you actually modeling the boards and bars, or do you just want to show them through the patterns and rendering material?

There are some existing threads on board & batten walls that you might want to take a look at:
