Where are the Extrusion / Revolve / Sweep / Blend in Revit 2010?

This is the instructions in Revit Architecture 2010 Help for creating solid and void geometry
#
To create a solid or void blend
1 In the Family Editor, on the Create tab ➤ Forms panel, do one of the following:
■ Click Solid drop-down ➤ Blend.
■ Click Void drop-down ➤ Blend.
#

However, there isn't any Create tab or Form panel in the Family Editor of Revit 2010.

I can find "Solid" and "Void" in Massing & Site ➤In-Place Mass ➤ Create Form ➤ Solid / Void ,
but there isn't any drop down options for Extrusion / Revolve / Sweep / Blend.

you need to select 'solid' for it to show the other tools... see image attached.

same for voids also... Edited by: LisaDrago on Aug 21, 2009 8:58 AM

If this helped solve your issue - remember to 'accept as solution' to help other find answers!
You can't think AutoCAD and run Revit.

See screenshot.

If you have a "Massing & Site" tab available, then you aren't in the
Family Editor...

As far as I know, changes the Ribbon Menu depending of the family you choose. The family with the Ribbon shown on the Revit image.bmp appear in the Mechanical Equipment family. It would have been nice if we have the same menus in "Model In-Place Mass" and in "Conceptual Mass".

I am trying to create a in-place mass in revit and is trying to find sweep/blend/extrusion in it. There is no option to create a mass using sweep/blend/extrusion.

Can anyone suggest any workaround.

I too have found the help section confusing. I'm having difficulty locating the family editor, and is this really the area in which to create a mass, do I now have to create mass families?

To access the family editor you can select an existing family in your
project and click "edit family". You can create new family from scratch.
the process of selecting a family template will open the family editor. Or
you can open an RFA file. This will open the family editor.

You can still create massing in place like you could in previous versions of
Revit, however the tools to create forms are slightly different. Masses are
now created using the conceptual modeling tools. Take a look in the help
for information on conceptual modeling.

This is ridiculous. Where are the standard Revolve, Sweep and Blend?

I want to make the simplest MASS and go the Mass in Place as usual and

here on Revit 2020 the tools you need are NOT THERE.
I see them when I go to Model in Place, but not with the Mass.

Why should I have to chase the simplest of tools around, Autodesk?
