way to affect RVT Link Display Settings Project-wide?

The only way I've found to affect the Display of elements contained within a
Revit Link,
is to Override that Link Objects DisplaySettings in each View,
by changing display control from "" to "Custom".

I'd like to turn-off all Annotation Categories for a Revit Link,
except for Grids; for the entire Project and have this Display-change affect
all Views
that the link is already present, as well as affect any furture Views to be
created.

Can that be done?

I think you can simply create a view template that just changes those settings and apply it all the appropriate views.

View templates can handle that very nicely. We create view templates for plans, elevations, wall sections, details. reflected ceiling plans, etc. The beauty here is that once a template is assigned, I can select huge numbers of views in the project browser, and using the apply deffault template, it will reset the views just before plotting, to ensure the predictability of the out-putted sheets.
