Hello all;
I don't understand how to make/show a wall under an island countertop to show dashed (or in general)? I looked at the view range, but that didn't work. This is frustrating... ACA, no problem, Revit - confusion.
It wasn't shown in class & I have gone over a few hundred pages of notes, help online, 10lb Revit book, to no avail. I know this sounds stupid, but I am a novice wanting to learn this, but here I am....

Thanks in advance -
change your view to wireframe so you can see the walls
then use linework to change the outside line of the wall to something like dash
Change your view to Wireframe
Go to View tab....Show hidden lines
first click on the floor....second click wall below
change to hidden line mode again, the obscured object is now in dashed line
Ok, I see how that works:
need to go to wireframe visual style in order to see the wall under counter
go to graphics | show hidden lines
select the element that will obscure (countertop)
select the element to be hidden (half wall below)
go to view | linework
select the line style (dashed)
select both sides of the half wall below
I did know how to do this, but it was on elevations when in training. I must learn to think Revit, not ACA.. (hence the learning curve)
Thanks guys...
