Wall Junction

Hi All,

Can anyone help me out I am having some trouble with a wall junction where I connect two identical walls together but the cavity does not connect and continue round like I would expect it to, any ideas?

See attached example of how it currently looks.

Many Thanks,

Tim

Check your wrapping settings in the structure of your wall.

Otherwise post a screenshot of your wall layers (the window shown after selecting edit structure)

Thank you for getting back to me however, I have checked my wraps and they seem to be ok I have attached an image of the wall structure settings to help further.

Many Thanks,

In your wall the layers in your core start (3 structure ones) to collide which when having a tee shape will prevent wrapping of you air layer.

You can solve it if you set up your wall slightly differently like this.

Thank you ever so much for rectifying the issue however, by moving the core boundary it has now created an issue with the internal stud walls by the core boundary extending through to the cavity (core boundary) in the masonry wall, but we need the core boundary of the stud wall to terminate at the masonry face and the plasterboard finish to wrap with the other plasterboard.

an example of how it currently sits is attached.

I could not find an immediate solution to solve both your questions.

The only remedy I can think of is to split your walls. Have a separate wall for your core elements and separate wall for the plasterboard.
