wall hosted families in existing walls

I have some families in a project such as sinks and cabinets that are wall hosted, but when I try to place them on the existing walls of the linked file they do not go there. Is there a setting to get around this?

Thank you for your help.

For linked files you can use only objects hosted by face not by wall.

Choose from Plumbing Fixtures Libraries MEP instead of Architectural ...because in MEP they are hosted by face .( MEP engineers work normaly on linked files send by architects)....I learnt this here on discussion group....
