Walkthrough camera controls

I am trying to control the height of the camera for a walkthrough so that I can go up stairs.  I know that I can activate the "Mini Tour Building Wheel" and can do it that way but it is very clunky to use and I don't always get the right angles.  Is there a simple way to control each key frame's heights like you normally would a camera (eye and target elevations)?  Thanks.
