Underlay Problem

Underlay has been working fine.
Suddenly my Level 1 using Level 2 as an underlay
actually views a partial version of Level 3...?
What gives?

i have noticed this behaviour also
it appears that the underlay becomes partial overlay.

well i'm glad it's not just me
i can see some walls and a table...yet there is much more on that
floor...furniture, plumbing fixtures, other walls, cabinetry.
let's not forget the fact that it's the wrong floor entirely from the one i
chose for underlay.

when did you first notice it?
was it after you reached a certain file size..?
did anything precede the occurrence?
did it go away?

Put the view in Wireframe.

i believe i already tried that
besides...does that address the real issue here?

why did this suddenly start?
why is level 2 not showing as the underlay?
why is level 3 partially showing instead?

Tried your suggestion again.
It did one thing...it made the entire Level 3 show up as underlay.
Which would be great if that's the Level I wanted as underlay.

I changed no view settings prior to the onset of this problem.
I am now into day 2 of being unable to use Level 2 as an underlay for Level
1
I can chose any other level for underlay.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Did you check the view range for Level 2?

Mel,

I'm pretty certain that I did a apples to apples comparison of each of the
view and visibility
settings from Level 1 thru 3 several times.

I will check that again this morning however, but if the view range was out
of wack...
would that not affect the view of Level 2 when I'm in Level 2 as well?

If the answer's yes...then that's not it because the view in each of the
Level's is fine. I only
have this problem in Level 1 using Level 2 as an underlay - the partial
Level 3 shows up.

Was there ever a real solution to this? I'm having the exact same problem and it's driving me nuts.

Having the same problem here; we're into 50% CD's and all of a sudden our Level 1 plan started showing the Roof when Level 2 was selected as an underlay. No changes were made to any of the views, including verification of the visibility settings.

This is clearly not an isolated incident. Any word yet on a solution other than more workarounds?

ps- effective workarounds are also welcome! Message was edited by: sddjd
