U-Profile for Walls

Hi,

I want to construct a u-profile that can be installed on the modular wall and can be chamfered at the end ( please see the drawing below ) . Actually this is one of the key component of our assembly system. We were planning to shift from Autocaad to revit and we figured out almost everything on revit but making this compnent is stopping us from using REVİT any further. Can anyone help in this regards.

This component should be paramteric ( and if can somehoe change its length with reference to wall it would be excellent )

It should not deform its shape as we need it from shop drawings.we can adjust its length, width, height etc.

Thanks you every one who already tried to help.1234.PNG

Hereby an example of how you could do this. There are many different ways. It all depends how, where, when you want to use it.

The construction of such a model might depend on your workflow. So probably you will need to modify it to suit your needs.

In this case made a generic face based model. It has some parameters for length, depth height and thickness, visibility for the end cuts. Most are family parameters and some are instance parameters (e.g. length). Advantage of the face based family is that it will 'stick' to the wall and you can easily place on the side also.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

Thanks for you reply, actually i already developed something similar to it, hiding unhiding the corners is not appropriate for our  our work flow. as their are a lot of elements of similar type. Regards.
