Type of parameter

Hi,

I created label for title block but unsure what type of parameter will be used.

The label is for " City and Post code", eg: Auckland 1001

Can someone help me?

Thanks a lot.

Not sure exactly what you are looking for.

When adding parameters to a title block they have to be shared parameters.

You could create you own shared parameter named "City and Postcode" or create two parameters "City" and "Postcode".

As both are containing text the parameter should be of the type "Text"

If Postcode is always a number you could have that parameter of type number or integer.

Does this answer your question?

yes, It works.

Another question, how do i classify type of parameter for "date", eg: 28 - 09 -2014??

Many thanks

These parameters are usually placed in Project Information--Manage Tab>Project Information.

Revit does not have a date type. So could follow two approaches

1-Use a text parameter and have values like 2014-09-30

2-Use three parameters (like DateYear, DateMonth, DateDay) which could be of the type integer or text.

Option 1 is most simple and usually sufficient. You have to make sure that user fill them correctrly.
