Trouble transferring files from 2010 to 2011 version

When I open a file that was created in Revit 2010 it goes through the "onetime" upgrade process and then it comes up with an error message reading "An error has occurred while drawing the contents of this window. This window shall be closed."  And this error message appears for every floorplan, section, elevation, 3d view etc.

File a support request and have Product support attempt to upgrade the file for you.  It soulnds like the database may be slightly damaged preventing the upgrade from occuring.
