Transferring family from one project to another

What is the best way to transfer a family from one project to another when the family does not exist on my system?

We usually have families that we commonly use pre-loaded in our template.

If you only have one family to load into a project it is often easier to
select the item, "Edit Family". This will open the item so that you can
check to make sure that the type you want (dimensions/ parameters/
materials) has been created within that family, and then "Load into
Project".

If the family is already loaded into a different project (as is your case),
you can expand your "families" section of the project browser, locate your
item, and then "copy to clipboard". Switch your view back to the project you
want to load the family into and "paste" or "ctrl+v" the item. It should
then be available for use.

I sometimes wish there was a way to transfer families with the "Transfer
Project Standards" utility; however, I bet we'd get projects full of
families that then need to be purged out of the project.
