The “site” level doesn’t appear in the elevation view,

The “site” level doesn’t appear in the elevation view,

I’m wondering why the “site” level doesn’t appear in the elevation view.

How to show the “site” level in the elevation view?

Thank you

Best

Jamal

  • "View" and "level" are different things.
  • "Site" is not a level, it's a view.

Thank you for the answer.

The “site” is sorted out under the “Floor Plans” and thus it should have “level” reference (by default) to know where we are.

It would be incredibly redundant to create a Level for each View. If you had a Floor Plan, a Finish Plan, a Demolition Plan, a Reflected Ceiling Plan, etc. for each floor, they will all be associated with the same Level. Otherwise, you will be creating several Levels in the exact same place which will cause excruciating nightmares in no time.

Your "Site" View is almost certainly associated with Level 1. You can check by going to the Site View and checking it's 'Associated Level' under Properties.

If you want the Associated Level to appear in the Project Browser, you can modify the structure of the tree as follows:

1. Go to View tab » User Interface ▼ Browser Organization.

2. From the dialog, either click "New" (and enter a name) or select the current organization  from the list and click "Edit".

3. Here, under the Folders tab, you will be able to add "Associated Level" in order to organize your Views by Level.

It looks as though you are getting confused by the 'New Plan' dialog, as there are no Levels present for selection. At the bottom of that dialog box, there is a checkbox option "Do not duplicate existing views". Uncheck that box. Personally, I have no idea why that box is checked by default.
