Is there a way to temporarily rotate the view of a plan without modifying the project, true north or sheet position?
Sometimes I'm given field notes where someone wrote their notes upside down or sideways.
Sometimes the original pen & ink drawings used multiple orientations.
Whatever the reason I want to be able to "walk around the table" and look at it from a different angle without changing the model or altering the layout.
This is easy to do in AutoCAD or in 3D mode in Revit, but there's no annotation in 3D.
Two possible solutions come to mind
1-Open a 3D view make it view from above (top view). With the cube you then can rotate the view.
2-Put a 2D view on a Sheet. You are then allowed to rotate the view 90 degrees clockwise and 90 degrees anti clockwise (180° is not allowed).

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.
Hi,
You can use a scope box to do it.
Assign a scope box to a view and rotate the scope box (you'll need to do it from a different view) the view will rotate with the scope box.
