Tag Label Prefix

Is there a way to add a prefix to a door or window tag?
Say, Prefix D- for door and W- for window tags so the plans show D-1 or W-1 indicating door/window.

Thanks

You can do that by editing the door tag family. But i dont think u'd go arnd that, if u understand the difference between TYPE MARK and MARK for any door / window. I dont know if you'd have it, but if ur Installation Disk has the SouthAsian Library, you'll see some door tags with Type Mark. Or you can make one yourself.

The tag won't automatically include a prefix but you could include it as part of the value you enter.

Fwiw, most firms use different graphics for each so they are obviously for different things. Also, aren't doors pretty distinctive as compare to windows and therefore fairly obvious they are not windows. Just a thought.

Try telling that to Contractors here where I'm from.

If the contractors can't tell a door from a window in plan and god forbid other views, you have my sympathy!
