The title is bit misleading hard to hard to undertsand, but will try to clarify below.
The team are working a project that is workshared. They have a central file and at least two local files (one per user)
Each user has their own username in the options of Revit.
When one of the users (who seems to be regularly laiden with sync issues) makes amendments to the model and synchronises, his changes do not seem to be pushed to the central file. When he next opens the file (say the next morning) his changes do not seem to be there. It's as if they never happened.
Any ideas why this might happen?
Could User 2 be overwriting the changes accidentally? If so, how?
My first thought is that this is occurring at the end of the day, and that Revit is being closed before the synchronize process is actually complete (this could prevent the changes from being committed on the server).
If they are creating a new local file (when they are seeing the missing changes), have them open up the old local file and see if the changes are still there. If they are, they can try synchronizing again, and then check if they show up in a new local file.
We are having the same issue lately with one specific project.
It doesn't happen at the end of the day though, at random times 2 of the 3 members of the team synchronise with central and the latest changes they have made are lost. And a file not saved error appears after sync.
I have checked that no one is working in the central file. When this happens and the user closes the file down he gets an error :
"You have not saved ..... locally since the last time the project was synchronised with the central model. You must save this file locally to keep it compatible with the central model."
The next time the Local file is opened "The following worksets that you are checking out are either checked out at risk or relinquished in the central model but not in this local file" even though the user appears to have only borrowed elements.
Any suggestions as to how to troubleshoot this issue?
Thanks
