strange col visibilty question

Hey, I just had a weird thing happen to me, and was hoping someone could tell me why. I had a structural grid without all the columns placed. I isolated my grid and cols that were drawn in the first floor plan. I selected a col I had already drawn, and tried to do a create similar, and even tried to copy it. None of the new cols would show up. I unisolated everything, and was able to create the cols no problem. Is that a glitch, or did I do something wrong? Thanks.

Odds are your column was being created on a level that was not visible.
Structural columns are created from the current level down - not up. This is
to be consistent with the way structural eng.'s draw.

See, learn something new everyday, I had no idea they went down instead of up, thanks again.
