Square cut rafters?

I can't seem to get a roof to have square cut rafters in 6.0. The roof properties allow for 3 options: Plumb cut - vertical roof edge 2 cut square - horizontal roof edge - THAT looks wierd 2 cut plumb - same thing as 2 cut square Is this a defect, or is there some other way to have a square cut fascia (other than applying a sweep to the edge of the roof)? -- Matt Dillon Enceptia, Inc. http://www.enceptia.com

You need to change your option to 2 Cut Square and then give it a large fascia depth. 2 Cut Plumb and 2 Cut Square are not the same. OK, cool - that did it. Thanks. Can you tell me WHY the fascia depth even matters? Just curious. -- Matt Dillon Enceptia, Inc. http://www.enceptia.com "Greg Cashen" wrote in message news:403e351c$1_2@newsprd01... > You need to change your option to 2 Cut Square and then give it a large > fascia depth. 2 Cut Plumb and 2 Cut Square are not the same. > > > "Matt Dillon" wrote in message > news:403e27ac$1_2@newsprd01... > > I can't seem to get a roof to have square cut rafters in 6.0. Because you can have a two cut fascia and the dimensions of the two cuts will change based on the depth of the fascia...for instance, if you want to put a gutter on the fascia, you will need at least 4.5 inches of plumb fascia to have it attach flush with the bottom. But you could also go for 5.5 inches or whatever you like. There is an infinite combination of fascia to cut depth ratios and not everyone does them the same.
