We have a building with lots of rooms/spaces starting at Bedroom 0.01 and going to Bedroom 0.25. We have put doors and windows in the walls and a small amout of furniture. If create a door schedule we can get the schedule to how the room name and number via the fields.
We wish the object/door to take on the name of space/room as a paramter within the the object itself. i.e if a door in room 0.02 is moved to 0.04 the door will state that it is now assocated with room 0.04.
How is this done.
Thank you

When you create a schedule, you are asked to choose the fields you wish to include in the schedule. At this stage, you can (For most objects) change the fields list to "Rooms, Spaces, From Room/To room" from a drop down list below your available fields column. Do this and choose Room name for instance, and whatever room your object is in it will look to display the parameter of the room name.

Hope this helps
"How do you add the data of the room name into the door, so when you touch the door it tells you the space."
Currently there is no shared parameter available in Revit, that you could add to the door family, which would add the room name or number to the door.
A workaround in Revit would be to create a parameter - such as a comment - for it and add this data to the doors manually.
You can also find an extension for Revit (a 3rd party software) on the site below, which promises "you can easy transfer any room parameters to belongings door"
Please, note that Autodesk cannot take any responsibility for 3rd party applications. So you have to decide, if it worth a try.
I hope this information was helpful.
Please, mark it as a solution if you feel so.
Thanks.
