Smear in the middle

HI,

I brought my title block into the project and in the middle of the sheet is writing. No problem I say and click the Family Editor tab converted the title block back to it designed pieces and the writing disapears. Ah! it gone. I then repeated the process in reverse save changes and all then open my title block the writing is still exist.

To summerize;

writing in sheet form

no wirting in Family Editor form

Appreciate any help or advice.

Thank You

David

I am not completely clear on your exact problem.

in your project you might check if there is just text on the sheet view. Then this text is not part of the titleblock.

Otherwise it might be a label that is part of the title block. When in the family editor this label is (almost) empty and when in the project a value is entered.

If you could post (part of) your project with the items causing the issue we can have a look and better understand what happens.

There you go, nothing there but bring it into a project and a red signature
can be found in the middle.

Thanks

I checked your Titleblock. The signature is in there

Your titleblock was based on an imported autocad (dwg) file.

In the visibility/graphics the 'autocad layer' is switched off. However when loading titleblock family into a project it is on and therefore shows the signature.

Clean up the your titleblock family (delete signature and delete the imported categories if not needed anymore).

If you mean the titleblock family. There is no straightforward way to get rid of the imported categories from the family. There are some add-ons that can help you with these. However easiest way would be to create new titleblock family (same size) and copy evertyhing inside the outer border to the new family (using copy and paste aligned to current view). If no further remnants of the autocad dwg are present than in the new family the imported catergories shoud remain empty.
