SketchUP materials in REVIT

SketchUP materials in REVIT

We received a complex model from sketchUP that we want to Render in Revit WITH SketchUP materials.
We tried exporting from sketchup to MAX, is there a way to import MAX to Revit? I found the user guide to go from Revit to MAX but not the other way.

we tried importing the SKP, but no matterials

We are planning to remake the model in Revit but there is so many small pieces of trim everywhere in will take a while to convert

As you have so astutely observed, you cannot import materials into Revit with your SketchUp model not can you import MAX materials or the MAX model back into Revit. Only way is to re-assign the material in Revit. Even exporting the SketchUp model to AutoCAD and then importing the AutoCAD model will not maintain or retain your material assignements, nor transfer them to you Revit model.

Wish List item, go to AUGI for the wish list.
