Sketching a roof.

What does this mean?
"Error - cannot be ignored
Extrusion roof sketch must be open. The roof's thickness and material composition are defined in its type."
i am trying to create an extruded roof (no kidding). and this message popped up when i hit "finish sketch".
any help would be appreciated.

I have had this in the past too.

You do not draw a closed sketch line (like a box or triangle) you are just drawing the profile - so do not try and make an extrusion for the plywood, or rafters - instead just sketch the outter shape it is supposed to be, and in the properties pick what kind of roof Revit is to make - and it will take care of all of the pieces to it.
