SIM

I have an 2 elevations of a breakroom that has the exact same upper cabinet
in both. However, I detailed the upper cabinet using the callout of the 1st
elevation but now when I place a detail mark for the 2nd elevation it now
says SIM next to the callout head, b/c I used the Reference other view
command. I like this feature when the details are not the same size but in
this situation they are not SIM, but exactly the same. How is everyone
taking care of this?

Thanks,
Clint

In past releases you were able to create multiple callout types, we had one that was sim, one that was typical. That broke in release 7 or 8. I haven't tried in 9 yet to see if it works again. But if it does, you just go to the view tags dialog box, make a new callout type and where the text propertyi is, change it.

Yeah I tried that by duplicating it and calling it No Sim, then deleting the
Sim text from the field. However, when I clicked on the tag to change it,
it didn't change and it also won't let me make a new one using the No Sim as
the detail mark. It wants to default back to the one that says SIM. The
only other way I can think of to do this is to delete the SIM and add it w/
a text option where needed. Kind of a pain.

I also tried creating a filled region but they don't work on detail marks
for some reason. Even checked the display order.

I am having the same issue . . . has anyone resolved this yet?
I tried creating a new "view tag" section mark, and tried creating a parameter inside the family I think is being used, and nothing seems to be what I'm trying to do. Any help would be appreciated.

The only way that works is to delete the word SIM and then if you need it,
manually add it with text. The option to do what we want was removed in a
previous version. Hopefully they will add it back soon.
