Sheet Number & Sheet Name parameter

Hi all,

I created a title block with many parameters, I have inserted this into my project. It works fine except the Sheet Number & Sheet Name parameter. I am able to input the values But these doesnt update automatically when I change the sheet number or sheet name.

Please help what Iam missing.

Thanks and Regards

Hi there,

Could you perhaps send the titleblock to me to have a look at?

If you not comfortable posting it, PM me.

Could you elaborate more with you mean it doesn’t update automatically?

Regards

Hi, tnx for replying.
I created a parameters for Sheet Number and Sheet Name in the title block.
If I create a sheet called 4000, the parameter should update itself to change it to 4000, but this is not happening in my case. Same with the Sheet Name.
Thanks and Regards

If you created a parameter named "Sheet Name" and "Sheet Number" and used that it might conflict with Revit. Revit has its own (hard coded) parameters sheet name and sheet number.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

i even tried this in a new title block family and used those parameters, its still not working. i guess I am missing how to use the in-built parameters.

Please let me know then how to use the in-built parameters like sheet name and sheet number.

regards

Hi there,

 Distinguished Mentor

is right, those labels are hard coded & you dont need to "create" them.

If you look at your family file you will see double parameters. Change to the default hard coded labels & it will work fine.

Well spotted EnlInt!!!
