OK, like I said, I'm really new to Revit. Now that's out of the way and all
the joking aside, is there a setting to turn in snapping and a grid like
AutoCAD. Also is there an equivalent to OSMODE in AutoCAD for Revit?

and "grid" is a workplane visibilty button in the toolbar at the top left.
grid can be moved/resized/etc.

It's in between the Plane and Spell Check toolbar button, under the Save
button. It looks like a grid.
