If you have existing ACAD dwgs that will suffice....you can also reference
one of those by creating a drafting view and linking the view to the dwg.
Then use your section view reference to link to the drafting view.....I
think I said that right. The linked dwg can be further annotated or detailed
thru the drafting tab tools, or by updating in ACAD and reloading thru
managing links.

You cannot switch a section mark already created to reference a drafting
view. However, you can reference a drafting view before you place the
mark. After you start the Section command, look at the options bar and
you will see a checkbox labeled "Reference other view" Click that and
then choose the view from the drop-down box.
The level of detail provided by the section is not what we need for CD's
either. That is why there are detail components. We do cut sections,
use the model as an underlay to place our detail components. Look into
that method and I think you will be pleased.
