Scheduling Groups

Hello all:

The new enhancements to Groups are terrific. But has anyone found a way to
schedule Groups? For example, if you wanted to see how many king rooms there
were, and how many queen rooms etc.

How is it going? Groups are not model elements or building component categories. Revit's schedules model category elements, so groups which are made up of model category elements and detailed components would not be a schuduled item.

You could use the room schedule to find the number of groups represented by that room name. Just place a room boundary in your group and everytime you place the group the room is placed as well.

What I suggest until we get this functionality is to create a taggable family, ie specialty equip or something you dont' typically schedule and load that family and add it to your group. You could even do it like the dishwasher family and add text to it.
