Saving to different programs

My school has Revit Architecture 2013
and can't upgrade it until this summer. Will I be able to save my file in
Revit Architecture 2013 at school and transfer it home to Revit 2013 or
2014? The real question is, will I be able to save back to Revit
Architecture 2013 from Revit 2014 or Revit 2013? Are the programs
compatible?  Thank you

You can open it at home in 13 or 14.....HOWEVER......Oncwe you save it to
2014, you will not be able to reopen in 2013..there are not backward saves
link acad.

Thanks.  I just have one more question. So I save my file at school in Revit Architecture 2013, and I open it at home in Revit 2014.  Can I save it to the same file type as Revit Architecture 2013?  Or for the files to be compatible, do I need to have Revit 2013 at home instead of Revit 2014?  Thanks for your help.

You cannot open any Revit file in a previous version

If you want to work on your school model (2013) at home, i would reccommend installing 2013 at home.

If you open a Revit 2013 file in Revit 2014 and save the file, it now becomes  Revit 2014 file and can no longer be used in any previous version.
