saving problems

I made an net for a basketball hoop by going to modelling - create - (then picked family and name) - solid form and then solid sweep. Then I grouped the basketball net then I exited and saved. When I came back the Basketball hoop was there but no net can you please tell me what I'm doing wrong. I repeated these step's 3 or 4 time's

thank you

Is the net's category turned on in the view you are looking at?

You've created an in-place family. These have higher system overhead than
regular families and can't be copied and updated in the same manner as other
families. I suggest you create this as a generic model using the generic
family template.
