Hello everyone, I wanted to know how do I configure my Revit Architecture 2013 software so it can save files in previous versions (2012, 2011, 2010)
thank you
Revit is NOT backwards compatible.

I saw that you posted this in an unrelated thread...
@itimot wrote:"so how can i update the 2012 version to 2013 version?
TX"
If you open the 2012 file using 2013, then it will upgrade it. Beware, once it's upgraded, there is no going back (except for backup files). Also, if there are any other files that are still linking in this file, the link will be broken because they will become incompatible.
And then in that thread...
@itimot wrote:"i mean to update the 2012 software to 2013 software.
thanks"
You don't update the Revit software like that. Rather, you install the next release of Revit as a separate program.
So you will end up having both Revit 2012 and Revit 2013 installed on your computer, provided you opt to keep 2012 (recommended).
