RSACCELERATOR2014 vs " Manage Connection to Revit Server Accelerator"

Is there any differenct between the RSACCELERATOR2014 Env. Var. & Collaborate Tab -> Synchronize panel drop-down -> Manage Connection to Revit Server Accelerator?

It doens't look like one updates the other. I would think if they did the samething they would....

When I change the RSACCELERATOR2014 user variable (in the Environmental Variables dialog) on my system, I am seeing that the Accelerator listed in Revit (in the "Manage Connection to a Revit Server Accelerator" dialog) is changed (after closing and re-opening Revit).

Which of these are you changing, and then finding the other is not modified?

Oh I was setting a System Environmental Variable, I now see it's a User Environmental Variable, daaaa.
