Rotationg North Arrow on Titleblock

I am havinga lot of trouble placing a north arrow into my titleblock in which I can rotate using an instance parameter when loading in a project. I have tried to model one in the title block family as lines, group, component, etc. and have tried nesting a seperate north arrow family into my titleblock family.

Because ref. planes are not usable in the titleblock family, I am wondering if this is possible? Any ideas or help is greatly appreciated!

Josh, North Arrows are commonly modeled as Generic annotations. Have not tried to nest a title block family but you might be making your task harder than it should be. Good Luck

Thank you for your post.  I have included a helpful link below with details on setting up your titleblocks within the Revit interface.  This can be done a number of different ways so in this case and per the previous poster, I would too suggest keeping it simple where possible.  I hope this helps.
