Room tags and different scale plans

How do you prevent a room tags that looks good at 1/4" scale to not get so large, in relation to the plan, that it completely blocks out the plan at 1/8" or 1/16" or smaller scale?

thanks,
jg

You will need to create some additional room tags with smaller text. I have
created one with 3/32" text as small room tag and another w 1/16" text as
ex-small. so depending on the scale of the view I will use a corresponding
room tag. Just open the existing room tag family and save as another name
like small or ex-small, modify the size of the text and perhaps the room
number box and load it into your project and you should be good to go.

Thanks cdv. Now the problem is that the number box is still larger than it needs to be. What controls the size of the box? I need to make it smaller so that it is tighter to the number. When I open the family for editing I don't see any settings for it. I'm using the standard "Room Tag" family.

thanks,
jg

Just open the family click on the number box and resize the box manually.
Attached are copies that I use.
