We want to take a residential house and build a model of it. The hardest part is the roof. Is there a function or tool in Revit to take the roof and transform it into the actual sizes to build a model with? If not, is there a process that can be done? One suggestion I have been given is using 1-2-3D Create. Any others?
Maybe you can give some more details on what you exactly expect from the end result (e.g. parts to model, size, detail, quality, purpose, material)?
In Revit you model in 1:1 scale. It has some limitations when you need to model very fine detail (i.e. lines < 0.8 mm).
Depending on the process, people have been modelling in Revit exporting it to intermediate files and then use other software (e.g. Inventor, 3D Max) to create a STL file and then use a 3D printer to make the model.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.
May end goal is to send these roof pieces to either a printer to print out and cut by hand for a physical model or send to a laser cutter to cut them out for the model.
