Same problem. Just started tonight. Tried to repair and reinstall. Neither worked.

I have exactly the same problem.

Though my antivirus suddenly flagged SSCE5432.dll, originating in the revit folder, as a virus aswell.

Edit: So revit starts working again when i restore said dll file, adding it to the exceptions in the antivirus.

Though I'm still curious why the file would be flagged.

Strange, it seems the Revitui.dll is there, but Revit can't load it.

I have tried to deactivate Avast virus scanner, but this did not solve the problem.

I'm tempted to say SSCE5432.dll seems to be corrupted, causing the Revitui.dll error.

Although me solving this was just lucky, because I had more leads to go on...

hi r.vandenboom

the file SSCE5432.dll was not in c:\program files\autodesk\revit2015\ so i tried to copy the SSCE5432.dll from the install files.

it did not solve the problem 😕

I think its something to do with various virus scanners.

What I have done to get Revit working is;

  • Restart the computer
  • Turn off the virus scanner (in my case Avast!)
  • Repair the install

Seems to work, but when ever Avast is turned back on and Revit is restarted, up comes the error.

Here my solution.

1. Remove my antivirus program

2. restart my pc

3. Remove and reinstall my revit.

4. It's now working....

Now I need to find another antivirus program( my privious is Avast antivirus).

From the virussafe I restored SSCE5432.dll and added it to exceptions. This worked for me.

Uploaded SSCE5432.dll to Avast and reported it as false positive.
